How to win it
Make sure your application clearly highlights how your studies in agriculture, environmental preservation, or natural resource protection connect to caring for the land and natural resources of the Hawaiian Islands. Even if you are pursuing a certificate program rather than a degree, you are still eligible, so do not count yourself out. Keep your GPA at 2.0 or above and let your passion for malama aina, caring for the land, shine through in your personal statement.
