How to win it
Focus on choosing recommenders who can speak directly to your character and self-discipline, since those qualities are central to what this scholarship is looking for. Reach out to a teacher, school counselor, religious leader, or community organization leader who knows you well and can write a compelling, specific letter on your behalf. Make sure you also gather documentation of your financial need, as demonstrating that need is a key part of your application.
