The 2027-2028 HCF Common Scholarship Application opens on December 1, 2026. Apply by February 1, 2027, 4 PM Hawai’i Standard Time.
Be a resident of the State of Hawaii; Demonstrate financial need; Be in good academic standing or by maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0; Be a high school senior or graduate of a West O'ahu high school (Waipahu to Makaha); Pursue a degree in one of the following: Nurse Practitioner, Physician assistant, or Education (Grades K-12).
How to win it
Make sure your application clearly highlights your financial need and confirms you graduated from or are a senior at a West Oahu high school between Waipahu and Makaha. Since the GPA requirement is a 2.0 minimum, focus your essay on your passion for becoming a nurse practitioner, physician assistant, or K-12 educator, showing the committee how your goals align with the scholarship's purpose.
