This fund was established by John Grubb and Louise Sumner initially to provide scholarships to Hiwassee students and Hiwassee graduates going on to a 4-year college or university. The scholarship has been expanded to include any Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) accredited public or private, non-profit college or university in Tennessee.
