Who qualifies

How to win it

Strong applicants clearly meet every requirement: one award: graduating senior from puyallup, rogers, emerald ridge, sumner, bonney lake, or tacoma school of the arts; one award: any washington-state-resident graduating senior; minimum cumulative gpa of 2.7; demonstrated involvement in the study of the arts (music, theater, art, graphics, design). This award asks for 2 recommendations, a transcript, so give those pieces real time rather than rushing them. Because it targets arts, tie your application to that field with specifics. Apply early and double-check the deadline, since local awards often have small applicant pools and reward the well-prepared.
