The 2027-2028 HCF Common Scholarship Application opens on December 1, 2026. Apply by February 1, 2027, 4 PM Hawai’i Standard Time.
Be a resident of the State of Hawaii; Demonstrate financial need; Be a college senior or graduate student.; Plan to major in a health-related field (not including sports medicine, exercise science, counseling, psychology unless clinical, social work, health care administration or veterinary medicine).; Attend an institution in the United States.; Minimum GPA 3.0.; Be enrolled full-time.
How to win it
Focus your application on clearly demonstrating your financial need and your commitment to a qualifying health-related field, making sure your intended major is not one of the excluded areas like sports medicine or general psychology. Since a minimum 3.0 GPA and full-time enrollment are required, confirm your academic standing meets those standards before applying. Highlight your passion for health care in your personal statement to show the Hawaii Community Foundation that you are a dedicated, mission-driven candidate.
