The 2027-2028 HCF Common Scholarship Application opens on December 1, 2026. Apply by February 1, 2027, 4 PM Hawai’i Standard Time.
Resident of the state of Hawaii; Demonstrate financial need; Minimum GPA of 2.7; Attend an accredited, two or four year, not-for-profit institution within the US (including US territories); Attend as a full time student (as determined by your school’s financial aid office); Be an undergraduate student; Senior athlete at Waiakea High School who participated in BIIF (Big Island Interscholastic Feder.
How to win it
Since this scholarship is specifically for senior athletes at Waiakea High School who participated in BIIF, make sure your application highlights your athletic involvement and demonstrates your commitment to sportsmanship throughout your high school career. Keep your GPA at or above the 2.7 minimum and gather documentation of your financial need, as both are required. Apply through the Hawaii Community Foundation and be ready to show you plan to attend an accredited, not-for-profit two or four year institution in the US as a full time undergraduate student.
