The 2027-2028 HCF Common Scholarship Application opens on December 1, 2026. Apply by February 1, 2027, 4 PM Hawai’i Standard Time.
Be a resident of the State of Hawaii; Demonstrate financial need; Academic merit; Good character; Attend an accredited post high school institution; Minimum GPA of 2.5; Attend at least half time; Vocational education.
How to win it
Focus on clearly demonstrating your financial need and good character in your application, as these are key factors alongside your academics. Make sure your GPA meets the 2.5 minimum and that you are enrolled at least half time in a vocational education program at an accredited institution. Presenting a sincere, well-rounded picture of yourself as a Hawaii resident with genuine need and strong character will give you the best chance at this award.
