The 2027-2028 HCF Common Scholarship Application opens on December 1, 2026. Apply by February 1, 2027, 4 PM Hawai’i Standard Time.
Be a resident of the State of Hawaii; Be in good academic standing by maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0; Demonstrate financial need; Be a high school senior entering as a freshman; Intend to major in Fine Arts (drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, or photography); Students who have participated in local and national art competitions, or students with other outstanding accomplishments.
How to win it
To stand out for this scholarship, highlight your passion for fine arts by showcasing any local or national art competitions you have entered, along with other creative accomplishments that demonstrate your dedication to drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, or photography. Since the GPA requirement is a 2.0 minimum, focus your application energy on presenting a strong portfolio and a compelling story about your artistic journey and financial need. Make sure your materials clearly reflect your commitment to pursuing a Fine Arts major as an incoming college freshman in Hawaii.
