Hawai‘i Community Foundation has over $8 million a year available for scholarships from more than 300 funds to make the road to college—and graduation—possible.
The 2027-2028 HCF Common Scholarship Application opens on December 1, 2026. Apply by February 1, 2027, 4 PM Hawai’i Standard Time.
Be a resident of the State of Hawai‘i; Demonstrate financial need; Be a full-time student; Attend a two or four year college or university in Hawai'i or the mainland United States; Minimum GPA of 2.5; Applicant who self-identify with the following Masonic Youth Groups such as: DeMolay International, the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls (IORG) or Job’s Daughter (JDI) OR has a family aff.
How to win it
To stand out for this scholarship, make sure you clearly highlight your connection to a Masonic Youth Group like DeMolay International, Rainbow for Girls, or Job's Daughters, or explain your family affiliation with these organizations. Keep your GPA at or above 2.5 and be prepared to demonstrate your financial need through the application. Present yourself as a committed full-time student ready to attend a college or university in Hawaii or on the mainland, and let your community ties shine through your application materials.
