The 2027-2028 HCF Common Scholarship Application opens on December 1, 2026. Apply by February 1, 2027, 4 PM Hawai’i Standard Time.
Be a resident of the State of Hawaii; Demonstrate financial need; Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0; Be a resident of Molokai; Intend to major in Science; Attend a two or four year accredited college or university in the US.
How to win it
Keep your GPA at or above 3.0 and make sure your application clearly highlights your financial need, as both are required for this award. Since you must be a Molokai resident planning to study Science, emphasize your local roots and your commitment to a science major in your personal statement. Applying through the Hawaii Community Foundation, you will want to confirm you are enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited two or four year college in the US to meet all eligibility requirements.
