The 2027-2028 HCF Common Scholarship Application opens on December 1, 2026. Apply by February 1, 2027, 4 PM Hawai’i Standard Time.
Be a resident of the State of Hawaii; Demonstrate financial need; Demonstrate one of the following criteria:; Demonstrate academic achievement with at least a minimum GPA of 3.0; Attend an accredited, two or four year college or university; Be an undergraduate or graduate student; Be a full-time student; Demonstrate good moral character.
How to win it
To stand out for this scholarship, make sure your application clearly highlights your financial need and strong academic record, since both are central to what the Kalihi Education Coalition looks for. Back up your 3.0 or higher GPA with transcripts and let your personal statement reflect your good character and commitment to your education. Showing that you are a dedicated full-time student at an accredited two or four year college or university will help confirm you meet every requirement.
