The 2027-2028 HCF Common Scholarship Application opens on December 1, 2026. Apply by February 1, 2027, 4 PM Hawai’i Standard Time.
Be a resident of the State of Hawai’i; Demonstrate financial need; Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.7; Be a graduating senior at Waialua High School; Enroll as a full-time student; Attend a 2 or 4 year accredited college or university in the U.S.; Intend to major in math, science, engineering or other renewable energy/sustainability related studies.
How to win it
Since this scholarship is specifically for Waialua High School graduating seniors, your application should highlight your connection to the local community and your commitment to studying math, science, engineering, or a renewable energy and sustainability related field. Make sure your application clearly demonstrates financial need and confirms your GPA meets the 2.7 minimum requirement. Because this is intended as a two-year renewal, showing your long-term dedication to your chosen field of study will strengthen your case significantly.
