The 2027-2028 HCF Common Scholarship Application opens on December 1, 2026. Apply by February 1, 2027, 4 PM Hawai’i Standard Time.
Demonstrate financial need; Be in good academic standing or by maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0; Be a resident of the State of Hawaii; Attending an accredited post high school institution; Major in Math, Physics, Science or Technology; Demonstrate academic merit and good character.
How to win it
Focus your application on clearly demonstrating your financial need and your commitment to a major in math, physics, science, or technology, since these are core requirements for this scholarship. Keep your GPA at or above a 2.0 and highlight examples of your good character through activities, references, or personal statements. Showing the Hawaii Community Foundation that you are a dedicated Hawaii resident with genuine need and a passion for your chosen STEM field will give your application its strongest foundation.
