Hawai‘i Community Foundation has over $8 million a year available for scholarships from more than 300 funds to make the road to college—and graduation—possible.
The 2027-2028 HCF Common Scholarship Application opens on December 1, 2026. Apply by February 1, 2027, 4 PM Hawai’i Standard Time.
Resident of the State of Hawaii; Demonstrate financial need; Minimum 2.7 GPA; Be a child or grandchild of a current Tony Group employee (employed full time at Tony Group for at least one year prior to the application deadline); Be a graduating high school senior from: Waipahu, Aiea, Pearl City, James Campbell, Mililani, Waialua, Leilehua, Nanakuli, Waianae, Kapolei or Kahuku.
How to win it
Make sure your application clearly shows your connection to your Tony Group employee parent or grandparent, confirming they have been employed full time for at least one year before the deadline. Since financial need is a key factor, be thorough and honest when completing any financial sections of your Hawaii Community Foundation application. Keep your GPA at or above 2.7 and gather all required documents early so nothing holds you back from submitting a strong, complete application.
