The 2027-2028 HCF Common Scholarship Application opens on December 1, 2026. Apply by February 1, 2027, 4 PM Hawai’i Standard Time.
Demonstrate a financial need; Be in good academic standing or by maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0; Be a resident of Maui County; Enroll in an accredited vocational degree or certificate program in Hawaii or the mainland; Submit a letter of recommendation.
How to win it
Focus on clearly demonstrating your financial need in your application, since this is a key requirement for the Hew-Shinn Scholarship Fund. Make sure your GPA meets the 2.0 minimum and that you can confirm your Maui County residency and enrollment in an accredited vocational degree or certificate program.
