The 2027-2028 HCF Common Scholarship Application opens on December 1, 2026. Apply by February 1, 2027, 4 PM Hawai’i Standard Time.
Be a resident of the State of Hawaii; Demonstrate financial need; Be in good academic standing or by maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0; Be a resident of Kauai; Be a second year student; Pursuing an associate's or bachelor's degree; Major in Nursing; Recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year if such recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements and is in good acad.
How to win it
Focus on clearly demonstrating your financial need in your application, as this is a key requirement alongside your academics. Keep your cumulative GPA at 2.0 or above to stay eligible, and make sure your application confirms your Kauai residency and your status as a second-year nursing student. If you receive this award, know that you may be eligible to renew it the following year as long as you continue to meet all the requirements.
