The 2027-2028 HCF Common Scholarship Application opens on December 1, 2026. Apply by February 1, 2027, 4 PM Hawai’i Standard Time.
Be a resident of the State of Hawaii; Demonstrate financial need; Be in good academic standing or by maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0; Recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year if such recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements and is in good academic standing.; Be a resident of the island of Kauai.
How to win it
Focus on clearly demonstrating your financial need in your application, as this is a key requirement alongside your academics. Since a 2.0 GPA meets the academic standard, make sure your transcripts reflect you are in good standing and emphasize your Kauai residency throughout your materials. If you receive this award, staying on top of your grades and reapplying each year gives you a strong chance at renewable support.
