The 2027-2028 HCF Common Scholarship Application opens on December 1, 2026. Apply by February 1, 2027, 4 PM Hawai’i Standard Time.

How to win it
Focus on clearly demonstrating your financial need and highlighting what makes you an outstanding public high school graduate, since both are key factors for this scholarship. Make sure you are enrolled full-time in an Education major at one of the eligible University of Hawaii campuses, specifically Manoa, Hilo, Maui College, or West Oahu. Keep your GPA at 3.0 or above, and if you receive the award, know that prior recipients in good standing may be eligible for renewal.
