Be a resident of the State of Hawaii; Demonstrate financial need; Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8; Be a current high school graduating senior; Be a resident of west Oahu to include zip codes 96797, 96706, 96707, 96709, and 96792; Demonstrate community service; Attend the University of Hawaii at West Oahu; Demonstrate community service in the communities of West Oahu.
How to win it
Make sure your application clearly highlights your community service work specifically in West Oahu, since that local involvement is a key requirement for this scholarship. Confirm that your home address falls within one of the eligible zip codes (96797, 96706, 96707, 96709, or 96792) and that you plan to attend the University of Hawaii at West Oahu. Keeping your GPA at or above 2.8 and documenting your financial need will round out a strong application.
