The 2027-2028 HCF Common Scholarship Application opens on December 1, 2026. Apply by February 1, 2027, 4 PM Hawai’i Standard Time.
Be a resident of the State of Hawaii; Demonstrate financial need; Be in good academic standing by maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0; Be a graduating high school senior; Be a resident of Waialua or Haleiwa.
How to win it
Focus on clearly demonstrating your financial need in your application, as this is a key requirement alongside your academics. Since you only need a 2.0 GPA to qualify, make sure your transcripts reflect that you are in good standing and emphasize your community ties to Waialua or Haleiwa. Being specific about your roots in one of those two towns can help your application stand out to the Hawaii Community Foundation reviewers.
